Tens of thousands of individuals serve as trustees on the board of directors of local and national arts groups across the United States each year. The disciplines are diverse (dance, theater, ballet, opera, symphony, museums), but the challenges for those who serve are the same. This book provides the framework and practice of governance to make trustees more informed and better qualified to fulfill their responsibilities.
